Since we moved the storage from the yurt to the new building, the Audarya residents came across a few items not needed anymore. For your buying pleasure, I present to you the following objects. Send me a good offer and it is yours. Maha from Audarya ;)

speaking of those tee-shirts, after getting a bunch of boxes of books and odds and ends from Brahma here in the city, I have quite a few of those. I believe that I have at least 10 Large and 10 XL's. I will check and if you're interested, you can email me directly at ahimsa16@gmail.com and we'll talk more.

I was just thinking last night that I wouldn't mind if there were more T-shirts like that. I just have an issue with the color, do you have other ones? If so, I might get one when I am on the West coast. ;)

Jason - March 14, 2007 2:07 pm

yeah, the color is pretty intense to say the least! I do like the idea of designs like that with quotes from GM on them. It would be cool to see others, but I've got no clue how to screenprint. From what I understand, another devotee had tried his hand at designing tees and it didn't really work out I guess. Brahma managed to get a bunch and, well, now I have what's left. I'll need to chat with Brahma b/c I may actually need to buy these tees off him so that he can pay the devotee that made them. I will get back with those who email me about them as soon as I find out.

I was lucky to get the last XL that said, "There's no place like OM (with om in sanskrit)".

I had never actually got to see any of the T-shirts from the glorious (?) T-shirt period, they seem a great cue for preaching. I have been wearing plain T-shirts since when GM implied that he doesn't want his disciples to wear slogans or advertize anything other than Krsna, and since it's not proper to wear an image of Krsna and worse wash those clothes with socks and other dirty laundry... when we don't wear devotional clothes we wear just plain clothes; that refers mostly to the resident monks, but I haven't lost the habit.

However these T's seem cool, what else is there? Why don't we make some more? This time not as source of income, but as part of the Audarya merchandize. Things like go within or go without, or give to live.

I was thinking of a shirt like this to raise money for the Audarya temples. Make them limited and sell for 60 a piece or smth. But check with Guru Maharaj.

Nanda-tanuja Dasa - March 14, 2007 7:38 pm

If we want to do something like that in the future, we must contact Kamalaksa and Krsangi for designs. They are experts and t-shirts they design are funny, hip, cool and totally nice to wear in the office or outside. I wouldn’t mind to actually get some t-shirts for myself to support Audarya, BUT they have to be classy. So talk to Kamalaksa and Krsangi.

Jason - March 14, 2007 7:59 pm

I agree with Nanda Tanuja, Krsangi and Kamalaksa know what's up! I would pay money for a shirt that quotes GM..."Reason alone is insufficient for understanding what lies beyond reason"

That's a killer statement!

Syamasundara - March 14, 2007 10:17 pm

Hahaha I read it twice before realizing it wasn't Krsangi's quotation from Star Trek! ;) I was convinced and was going to tell you GM never said that! Anyway now that I could really see it, it is a potent line.

In regards to those tee-shirts (the blue one posted above), I still have 12 Large and 12 XL left. Make a direct payment to me ($10...and don't forget to indicate which size), so I have your shipping address in Paypal's receipt/email. I will ship them to you and then donate the funds received to Audarya!

Send payment to "slumberbees@yahoo.com"

That's one of the shirts Gopa Kumar designed for his short-lived "OpinioNation" business. He worked really hard on it, had several designs made, even a cart in the mall, but it didn't pan out the way he had hoped. Nice to see that his shirts will be sold, and the funds going to GM and Audarya as originally intended.

I just found that Voltaire is credited with the same "common sense" quote back in the 1700's! Great minds think alike!
