Ratha Yatra Fesitval 2008

Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Jayatah!

The Ratha Yatra festival is steadily approaching. The schedule will be pretty standard as follows:

Friday the 25th people arrive and Guru Maharaja will give an evening class

Saturday the 26th there will be some talks throughout the day

Sunday the 27th is the Parade in San Francisco

Guru Maharaja is not necessarily expecting as big of a turnout as other years but it would be nice if everyone could please let us know as soon as possible if they are coming, so we can begin planning accordingly. If you are coming with others, please let us know that as well.

I'll be coming with Syamasundara, Daniel, Emily, (and most likely Christina and Levi). I will have the van that four can sleep in and I will bring a tent if need be as well.

We will be arriving Friday night hopefully around 8PM - we're landing in San Jose at 4:15PM Delta 7782 from LAX. Myself, my wife Krisangi Dasi and baby Lakshman. We'll have a tent. Hope to see everybody soon. Hari bol!

We would like to request everyone coming to the festival to give a $25 donation per person to help cover festival expenses. It would be great if everyone could do this by donating online as soon as possible. You can do so by going here: http://swami.org/store/asub_paypal.php

Also, for anyone who would like to bring any gifts for the deities, the following is a list of some items which are always needed:

ghee

butter

nuts

dried fruit

olive oil

Lastly, can you please email me at Nitai@swami.org and confirm exactly when you are coming. Some people have already told us, but we would like to make sure we know what time of day also. Thank you.
