Sri Sampradaya & Gaudiya Vaishnavism

Shreekrishna - October 5, 2008 10:57 am

So I remember hearing a lecture by Swami (I think it was about the Sriman Mahaprabhu's pilgrimage to south India) where he mentions that the Gaudiya tradition and philosophy is more closely aligned with the Sri Sampradaya's visishtadvaita than Madhva's dvaita philosophy. I was wondering if Swami, or others could elaborate on this a bit more. What are the close similarities, and what are the pertinent differences...

I was mostly raised Sri Vaishnava, and then later chose Gaudiya Vaishnavism. So this discussion would help me better understand the connection between the traditions...

Thanks in advance. Hare Krsna!
