This was awesome!!

Guru Maharaj's words were so sweet.

Syamasundara - January 17, 2010 2:30 am

Wow, the video stopped half way through, but what an important historical document.

Param vijayate sri krsna sankirtanam!

Devyah-pati Das SERBIA - January 18, 2010 9:56 am

Jaay!!

Finaly I could see how Guru Maharaj was distributing

books, as an incarnation of the book distribution,

as Srila Prabhupad explained.

Very valuable video for all Gaudiya Vaisnavas!!

I was moved to tears. Does anyone one know what that other devotee is up to nowadays?

Look at the dandavats.com. He is the webmaster.

Great video! More please...

When was it done and by whom?

No, that is a different Pragosha das. The one on the video is confused these days (more than the one monitoring Dandavats!)

That is unfortunate and scary. How a person who was distributing so many books can become so confused now shows the fragile nature of our faith. I thought that he is still distributing books. That is what Uday had written.

Well after seeing him distribute books with that attitude there is no doubt he will come back around.

This video really is moving. It makes me want to do something tangible for Krsna. I think it must take so much courage to do that.

Udayananda suffers from some of the same sorts of confusion that Praghosa does. I think Praghosa does something that some call sankirtan, but if he were distributing significant numbers of books, as he did when he was younger and Swami and I knew him, I expect you'd find his name on the NA Sankirtan Newsletter. He may be selling "paraphernalia" and collecting, perhaps selling some books along the way, but I don't see evidence that he's doing what he did "back in the day," as young folks say.

I like this video. Swami's tone of voice sounds the same to me today. It was sweet. Distributing books was a lot of fun and it was a lot of lessons for me when I did it. This film brought back some memories. I was noticing how, in the film, it was difficult to stop people sometimes. And then someone stops and they are smiling or looking with suspicion. Swami looks like he is so patient and really trying intensely.

I am slow on the uptake ...

This is a great video. Like Devyah-pati says, we are able to see GM "in action" and it is so amazing and inspiring to me. Thank you for this video.

This makes me want to sell books here in town. Guru Maharaja makes it look so easy and the interaction so smooth and comfortable for the travellers. The commentary behind the video is wonderful; thank you for posting this video.
