Different karma for different dogs, and dogs compared with humans...

Devyah-pati Das SERBIA - April 18, 2010 4:39 pm

I have heard that few days ago somebody cut off all four paws

to one street dog here in my country, so it inspired me to think

a little bit about "good and bad" karma in animal species...

1) There are different possitions of karma even in animal

species - one can become hungry and sick street dog,

and another person can become a dog in wealthy american family

2) It is usually said that it is very dangerous to fall in the

animal species, but it is often forgotten that even in

the animal species can be better (from the material

point of view) then in human species. If you are born as

a dog in a wealthy american family your life would be

much better than life of some homeless, poor and sick person.

The only exlpanation of danger of dog life is that dog cannot

understand message of God, and in his mind never

appears question WHY? - athato brahma jijnasa.

Sheep is eating grass peacefully while his fellow sheep

is slaughtered beside...

3) I have heard that if you are to become something

else then human in the next life, then it is precisely

decided what it will be - 2 times fly, 3 times chicken,

1 time pig, 1 time dog, 2 times lion and this is it. Is it

correct?

It seems perfectly reasonable, since if you are in animal

body you cannot create new good or bad karma, so you

are just waiting the cycle in animal bodies to finish, to

again get the opportunity for spiritual advancement

in human body.

Some time ago I was thinking about karma and animals... I think it would be too simplistic to say that only the animals that were previously sinful humans have to suffer. Everyone suffers. Whole world is constructed in such a way that every action causes some reaction. And therefore there is a place for instant karma in animal species, like when the dog disobeys his master and gets punished.
