On Sunday, June 27, 2010, Swami B.V. Tripurari will be answering questions on his weekly “Swami Call" from Madhuvan, Costa Rica. Technical issues from recent weeks have been resolved, and we expect the call to proceed normally.
Swami will begin speaking promptly at 11:30 am (Eastern Standard Time). Participants are urged to start calling in at 11:15 am. The number to call is 1-760-569-0800. After you get connected, you will be prompted to enter an access code. The code is 606050 followed by the “#” key. Every time a person joins the conference, a chime will be heard. Karnamrita or Arcanasiddhi will greet you and ask if you have a question for Swami.

I missed the call this morning due to San francisco festivities... a sad choice... but can anyone post a summary of the call, what was asked, what was answered?
I was riding in a cab last night and all of a sudden I hear the divine mellows of Srila Prabhupada's chanting. It turns out I am in the cab with a driver named Patita Pavana das, Srila Prabhupada's disciple. I do not know him, but after some conversation he told me he had read gurumaharaja's response to Hauri Sauri's article on Srila Sridhara maharaja. He said he like gurumaharaja's reply very much. He asked for gurumaharaja's website. He also said it made no sense that such a posting had ever been made to begin with because as he remembers GBC had announced that Srila Sridhara Maharaja was a pure devotee over 10 years ago. I am not sure that this is exactly the case, but he remembered it this way.

I am not sure prabhu... I guess it is unlikely that Srila Prabhupada initiated two Patita Pavanas. So maybe yes. These are hard times. I also know that another ex-sannyasi is a taxi driver here in San Francisco.
Actually, according to the astrologer known as Patita Pavana, he did initiate two disciples with that name, both in '68, I think. Patita Pavana told me that Srila Prabhupada later changed his 9the astrologewr's) name to Patita Uddharana, which has the same meaning, but he hasn't used that name for decades.
