GV and Morrissey

I apologise for the silly nature of this post.

I've been off obsessed with Morrissey (as I've been off and on for 25 years.) Today on the Morrissey-solo forums we're having this discussion:

It's just a bit surreal...

Not sure what the consensus was...but I am a huge fan of Morrissey since I was 15....so almost 20 years going. I LOVE him. I hope he is a devotee!!!

It never came to a consensus - we all just started chatting about our gurus and Morrissey stuff.

My opinion - I don't think he's a formal devotee, although I've got my suspicions that he's an inadvertent devotee. By that I think I mean that he has manifested the true desires of his soul in certain behavior patterns without conscious awareness of the source of these behaviors. His biggest phobia - garlic and onions. ???? He's a militant vegetarian and animal rights activist. All the crew and band members that tour with him have to stay vegetarian while on tour, or he fires them. He was celibate for about 15 years.

In his old age he's taken a liking to drinking a bit, which is why I don't think he's a formal devotee.

He said "radha-krsna" in an interview one time!

Yes, let Morrissey become a vaisnava. Apparently he would not be without fans among the vaisnava community.
