The number of member profiles on TV have exponentially increased. you have 138 pages of members, which is unreasonable and unbelievable.

something must be going crazy with spamming or something. Most of those are "validating" which must mean they're being ignored.

Hmmm. Krishna Caitanya told me that he has sent in a couple of requests to join TV but has not received a reply from the admin. I guess that might be why.

We used to get a couple bot registrations per day; that was manageable. Now it's like 40-50. Out of control. Please let anyone who registers know to notify me or Gurunistha at the same time, otherwise it will just get lost in the spamania. I would think there is a way to curb this, but frankly I have no clue. It's annoying but as I have said before, these "people" are not members and cannot see inside the forum.

But why it happens? When I joined 3 years ago all profiles on TV were real ones. Something happened last year I think. I haven`t seen such a thing on any other forum I ever visited. Maybe they have a way to hide profiles before they are validated?

Vrindaranya and Gauravani think they know the cause of this issue and Gauravani is going to try to fix it shortly.

The forum software needs to be updated. It will take some time to plan the upgrade so we can minimize the amount of time TV is unavailable, run backups, etc. I'll keep everyone informed.
