Bhaktiratna Swami is?

Devyah-pati Das SERBIA - December 1, 2010 8:42 am

I am interested to know what is the oppinion of GM

about one guru whose name is:

Bhaktiratna Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada

his websites are:

http://NITAAI.com

http://NITAAIYoga.com

http://NITAAIVeda.com

http://NITAAIYoga.com/swami

http://NITAAI.com/matha

A friend of mine, bhakta Igor from Serbia,

who did not contacted me for many years,

now contacted me through Facebook to become

friends, and from his profile I could understand

that he became a disciple of this above mentioned

guru, that he follows him for 6 years, and now

his iniciated name is:

Ishana Thakura Das.

Some 10 years ago, Bhakta Igor was one of the

first persons from Serbia who contacted our GM

and started intensely to correspond with him.

I even ordered and got GM Bhagavad-Gita through

Bhakta Igor. But then, he stopped contacting me,

in my oppinion because he stopped contacting GM

at one point as well.

I am not a person interested to know everything

about every guru in the world and especially

on the internet - maby some of them are virtual

completely :Applause:.

I found my guide in GM and that's it. Still, sometimes

some devotees that I know from before come to me

with their stories of their new gurus, so I like to know

what is oppinion of GM about some guru.

My general approach that I learned from GM is that

I allways respect every devotee or guru from a distance,

without going into detail who are they and who is their

guru, etc. But sometimes, when some need arises

I look for the information directly from GM, or from

some disciple of GM precisely informed on the subject.

We respect him from a distance.

Thank you very much Guru Maharaj, for your explanation.

Brahma Dasa - December 6, 2010 1:15 am

Creating a doctrine that promotes the chanting of the names of Gaura-Nitai over the chanting of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra sets oneself on a path other than that which had been established by the previous acaryas headed by Sri Rupa. The path of Sri Rupa, based on the chanting of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, is time-tested and authorized by no one less than Mahaprabhu himself. Changing the emphasis on that path from chanting Krsna nama to chanting Gaura nama, as if some new revelation mandated such a change, is an artificial imposition on the spiritual practices established by Mahaprabhu through the Six Goswamis of Vrndavana.

Did he really change from maha-mantra to Gaura`s names? I remember his posts just after he became sannyasi and guru and at that time his idea was to chant 16 rounds of Pancatattva mahamantra before actual chanting of maha mantra not instead of it :Applause: And the purpose was to remove the offences in chanting

Now you have some of the details.
