Vyasa Puja

Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to Srila Gurudeva and Gauranga!

How fortunate I am to be in my current position as the servant of such a pure and elevated spiritual master. It was at your Vyasa Puja last year that I was given the opportunity by you to reside here and begin to receive proper training under your auspicious guidance. For me this is the realization of my inner most desire and the fulfillment of my childhood dreams. As a young child I always felt removed from the world and believed my future would be as a monk. This I thought would be achieved by highschool. Even though it didn’t happen that early, the journey had begun and now is made manifest by your mercy. The first time I heard the Mahamantra was from an audio recording of Srila Prabhupada and immediately I found comfort and refuge from the sinister world. The first time I saw devotees I knew I wanted what they had. A few years later when I moved up North I was introduced to you through a devotee friend of mine and was blown away by the hari katha coming from your lips. It was like nothing I had ever heard before and often times far above my meager understanding. I pledge my self to your service and will try to be conscious of the following as I seek to carry out your orders:

sakshad-dharitvena samasta-sastrair

uktas tatha bhavyata eva sadbhih

kintu prabhor yah priya eva tasya

vande guroh sri-caranaravindam

The spiritual master is to be honored as much as the Supreme Lord, because he is the most confidential servitor of the Lord. This is acknowledged in all revealed scriptures and followed by all authorities. Therefore I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master, who is a bona fide representative of Sri Hari

With Love your Student,

Goloka
