I was wondering if the devotees can shed some light on how they think psychology applies to spirituality. By psychology, I mean the karmic makeup, the material influence on our psyche owing to our karma that we might have had to take birth in.
What are your experiences of when someone you knew was perhaps mistaking spiritual progress with lack of attention to a psychological samskara, or impression?
Can you give specific examples without mentioning the names of the person(s) involved but detailing the situation and how you saw it that they would benefit from psychological healing?
I guess this is the horizontal growth that Swami speaks of that sometimes we need in order to grow vertically. Your insights would be really appreciated.
