Something I miss

Babhru Das - December 1, 2004 5:39 am

I used to look forward to Swami's reflections on life at Audarya. They always seemed to penetrate all the layers of crust I've accumulated and were very poetic. I certainly understand that the demands on his time and energy may preclude such essays today, but I wonder if they're archived somewhere.

Babhru-

The Audarya Darshna’s!!! I really love those also. I still read them often and have beeen going over them alot since returning from my trip to Audarya for Govardhana-puja.

They are located here:

“Winter rain tends to turn one inward. With the withdrawal of the external sun we are moved to find light within ourselves. When physical movement is restricted, one becomes more pensive. If we are to think deeply we must sit quietly away from physical commotion.” Guru Maharaja, Audarya Darshan Nov/Dec 01

Yours,

Chris

Mahalo, Chris. I'm very grateful to you for pointing me there.

I grew up in N. Virginia. My house was exactly a mile from Mount Vernon (one of my running routes was to Mt. Vernon, then down the Parkway a ways). Where do you live?

My pleasure posting the link, I’m very happy those are still available.

I’m a little south of Fairfax, in Woodbridge, near Potomac Mills if you’re familiar with that.

I remember Woodbridge. So you're on the other side of the county from My. Vernon, I believe. (I haven't been back there since 1968.)
