Guru Maharaja's Holiday Gift

Dear friends and siblings,
Over the last few years we have begun a tradition of getting Guru Maharaja a holiday gift to show our affection and gratitude. He has received computer parts, Bhagavatama sets and a few other things from our community.
This year Vrindaranya tells me that what they would like to develop a media room over the next couple of years for devotees like ourselves to spend time in while we are at Audarya. One of the components of such a media room would be a TV set with DVD attached that can be used to watch Gurumaharaja's DVD lectures, festival movies, Bhakti Promode Puri Goswami Maharaja lectures, Prabhupada memory videos and BR Sridhara Maharaja video series. The residents at Audarya would also be able to enjoy this sort of media together as a source of community building and bonding. This TV/DVD set is $350 dollars.
In addition to this set Gurumaharaja has an original painting of the Six Goswamis of Vrindavana that he would like to have nicely framed. This stunning painting is in a very unique style and I am hoping that it can soon be posted for all to see. This professional framing would cost $180.
So I would like to begin the collecting for these holiday gifts. I know that most of you already give a tithe monthly to help support GM's preaching. If you can add a small amount to that for these gifts it will be appreciated. Vrindaranya has collected online before and If it does not embarrass anyone I would like our pledges to go right online. We will need at least $530 for these gifts. If we collect more then this we can also buy other needed things for our monastic retreat- Audarya.

I pledge $100, only one note though -- I would highly recommend getting TV and DVD as separate units, not the combo. It gives you flexibility on chousing best module for the money, plus, if one thing breaks you do not lose another one.

By the way... people can make small pledges if they like too. Last year the gift was bought with many five dollars and ten dollars checks.

I agree with Nanda tanuja regarding the TV/combo set. If you want, I can get an extremely good deal on both separate pieces and have it sent to Santa Rosa. Please let me know if this is okay.
