Tattva-viveka

Anarthas

NrsinghaDas - January 15, 2005 3:16 pm

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has catagorized anarthas into four different types. Each category has its own sub-categorys. One the four categorys is tattva-vibrahma, illusioned about philisophical conclusions. One of the sub-categorys is to remain ignorant about the obstacles on the path of devotion.

So are the obstacles reffered to here, the list of anarthas it self ? Or does it reffer to the first and second verses of Srila Rupa Gosvamis "Upadesamrta"? Or all of the above? Are there other obstacles then the ones above mentioned?

Thanks for bringing this up -- evidence that the "head in the sand" approach ("just chant Hare Krishna!") is not the way...

So nice to have a forum like this one, where things are recognized for what they are and called by name...
