Jaya Gaura bhakta vrnda!

The other day I was remembering one of my favorite lilas with a very dear friend who said he also considers it his favorite.

It's the Panihati cida dahi festival, when Raghunatha dasa Goswami receives the mercy of Nityananda Prabhu, so that he can join Mahaprabhu in Puri. Right now it's taking me forever to write, as remembering that lila makes me always very emotional.

Anyway you can all read it I believe at the beginning of Madhya-lila.

Problem is, I would like to read it too, but you can't even see the shadow of a devotee in Cork, Ireland, let alone Prabhupada's books.

So the big favor is: could somebody who has the Bhaktivedanta vedabase copy that chapter and send it to me zipped or in any other way?

here is my contact info, thanks so much.

sergio.santoro@gmail.com if you want to send it

or if you want to tranfer it:

naytin@mac.com via iChat

neat_eye@yahoo.com via Yahoo messenger

neat_eye@hotmail.com via MSN messenger

naytin via Skype

You can find a (tiny) picture of that lila in Forrest's profile. Please read that story.

Jaya Nitaicandra! Jaya gaura bhakta vrnda!

Why thank you!

Who would have imagined that. Guess what, it was antya 6 after all. Still I would appreciate an excerpt from the real think, as it's a lil disturbing to read Kr?s?n?a every time.

Well, then a again if I got a piece of folio i would need the Balarama font for mac to read it.

Anyway, you made my day, thanks so much, starting to read it now....

if you go here: vedabase.org at the top of the page you can select how you want to view all the books (ie: diatrics, no diatrics and so forth). That should help with the font issue.

The devotee who runs vedabase.org has done a really nice job converting the books to HTML format. Its a lot of hard work--scanning and proofreading.

The next version of the VedaBase will be compatable with the Mac (Java) and use Unicode fonts. We shouldn't have so much trouble transferring info between platforms. The next version will address these issues.

That will be good news to many. I have a friend who uses a Mac and hasn't been able to run VedaBase with OSX. He grumbles about having to save up to get Virtual PC. In the meantime, I have to send him a chapter of Bhagavad-gita every couple of weeks so he can prepare for a class he gives Monday nights.
