Happy Birthday Krsangi!

Jim Churchill - October 25, 2005 5:02 pm

Dear Prabhu,

I just read your bio and was really moved by the accounts of your journey so far. I very much appreciate everything you said and wanted to wish you the best today and always.

Hare Krishna,

Jim

Very nice person with wonderful sense of humor, sharp eye, wit, and most important -- love to Star Trek. Whom am I talking about? Our Krsangi of course! I would like to wish you a wonderful birthday. Be healthy and happy and please continue to shower us with your great graphic novels!

Live long and prosper,

Wait, why in Swedish? Aren't you both finnish? I was so convinced it was finnish I kept wondering How come I understand most of it?

Syamasundara - October 25, 2005 6:21 pm

Duh..... :( Happy Birthday Krsangi ;)

It looks like we won't meet this time either (although I believe in miracles), which is a shame, because although I am not much of a feminist, we do share a passion for Macintosh, Star Trek (me especially Voyager) and of course our Guru Maharaja

Babhru Das - October 25, 2005 6:27 pm

Have a very happy birthday, Krishangi! Your presence here enriches us all. I hope that some day I'll be able to meet you and the duck. I also hope that my daughters may be able to meet you some day. I think they'd really like you (and would like them to follow your example).

Karnamrita Das - October 26, 2005 2:21 pm

Hari Bol Krsangi! I haven't been on in a few days, so this is a day late. Hope you had a Krsna conscious day at another year closer to leaving you body. Let us pray we can all make rapid advancement, more and more, by the grace of Sri Guru and Gauranga! I also hope I can meet you and all the FI-Nesse devotess. At least we can share our experiences when we are blessed with Swami's personal company in our two "necks of the woods"!

Yours in service,

dasanudas Karnam

Krisangi is a bona-fide Finn, but Kamalaksa and I are Fenno-Swedes, i.e. Finns that speak Swedish as our mother tongue. Our ancestors came here in the 12th century or so. Anyway, Krisangi is despite her ugric birth quite proficient in the Svarga-language, so we usually speak that.

Hyvaa synttaria, vanha pieru! Taidan menna veistamaan sulle kavelykepin tosta lahimmasta punapuusta.

For those who don't speak Fnnish, I was just praising Krsangi's transcendental qualities.

Svarga? As in heavenly? Aren't you thinking a lil too much of yourselves? Or because of the amount of light? In that case all of Scandinavia is in the same boat. :)

Rama-priya - October 27, 2005 3:57 am

Dear Krsangi,

Very happy birthday. All the best on the way to Ksna. It was so wonderfull to meet You.

Your,

Ramapriya

Certainly not! :)

Svarga for Sweden is an old (Swedish!) Indological joke. Norway is then of course Naraka.

Syamasundara - October 27, 2005 9:10 am

Oh I get it, so Finland is apavarga :)

You're catching on! Alternatively, Finland (Suomi in Finnish) is Somadesha -- especially since people are so attached to strong liquids over here. :)

Krsangi Dasi - October 27, 2005 8:26 pm

Thanks everybody! As a special treat I want to show you all what Kamalaksa gave me for my birthday: 3D clay models of my three most important comic characters: Guru Maharaja, Kamalaksa and myself. Note the cool details: my green Adidas sneakers, Kamalaksa's tuft of hair (or feathers) and Guru Maharaja's tail (which you unfortunately can't see here).

Happiness is being part of the gang! Thank you all! (Especially Bhrigu and Shyamasundar who started the fight at my party over linguistics... :) )
