I am applying for an update to the software that runs Tattva-viveka. You may experience some difficulties or the board itself may loose its color scheme and graphics.

I am still working on ironing out some problems with the display in Tattva-viveka. Everything looks ok so far except the page where you create a message to post. If anyone has any other suggested improvements, please let me know.

I am initiating another upgrade to our forum software. The board will probably loose its colors again. I will be fixing them and making sure other bugs are removed. Everyone let me know of any problems you have been/are encountering.

Let me see if you fixed the color options on the tool bar above where we type. No. This has not been working for a long time, and I have mentioned it before. When I click on the color icon---the A underlined, I get the notice that "The page you are looking at...etc" which means that the link is broken. Perhaps it is system wide? That notice then remains open until I post the message. Perhaps not too many use the colored text option, but I like it. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem....I would think so. Anyway, Gauravani, could you look at this? This is not earth shattering, but if this doesn't work perhaps there are other features as well.

I've had exactly the same experience, and I do sometimes find using the color option helpful.

Thanks for the info. Guru Maharaja pointed the problem out to me sometime ago as well.
IPB has yet to begin the update. I will email them again tomorrow and hopefully this error will be fixed by the update process.

I'm not sure when this started, but for at least the last week the Back button on my browser doesn't have any effect when I'm on this site. Any ideas?

That is strange. Does your address bar show a full URL, including post parameters? (? &=)

I've been having the same problem, and my address bar shows the full URL.

Which browser are you using? Mozilla Firefox doesn't give any problems here.

I'm using Internet Explorer. It worked OK until recently.

All of these problems seem to be related to the board's skin.
There are two selection bars down at the bottom of the page. One will say "tv" the other "English". Change the "tv" to "IPB 2.1 Blue-Gray (Import)"
This change will solve the back button problem and the text color problem.
Give me some time to update the colors and we should be good to go.

That did it; the Back button now works.

Kind of odd - but after reading this thread my back button also fails to work on tattva-vivek. I also use IE.

When I hit view new posts it will some times will not allow me in and say :Sorry, the board administrator has enabled search flood control. Please wait at least 20 seconds before trying again. and this has happened alot. And I am the only one on the sight.

This appears to be a common problem with Firefox. I am still trying to find the setting in the board configuration. In the meantime, you could try to use IE instead of Firefox.

Ok, I found the option for flood control and turned it off. Let me know if that makes any difference Bijaya.

On the first clicking of it it seems to work, then it does't. It works fine with internet explorer so i wil use that.

Cool! I like the new look and functionality, but I am afraid all the personal pictures have disappeared from the profiles.

What are the main benefits with the new version? I kind of liked the older better, but I guess even an arch-conservative like I will get used to this soon... But the new smilies are nice!

I think that I have to agree with Bhrigu, I kinda liked the old site/look better? What does this new look offer that the former didn't?

I apologize for the look of the site. I stay on top of the updates for security reasons, but most often the updates include cosmetic and functional changes as well.
Vrndaranya and I are working on a better color scheme.
