Gopala Bhata Goswami, Radha Ramana

Today is appearance of Srila Gopala Bhatta Gosvami, so here are drops of nectar...

 

Gopala Bhatta Gosvami, one of the six Gosvamis of Vrndavana, as a young boy received the mercy of Lord Caitanya. While touring south India, Lord Caitanya stayed four months at Gopala Bhatta's house. Gopala Bhatta Gosvami later joined Lord Caitanya's sankirtana movement. He proved himself an expert in Vaisnava scriptural regulations, wrote Vaisnava books, and established the temple of Sri Sri Radha-Ramana in Vrndavana.

Famous Radha-ramana temple is founded by Gopala Bhatta Gosvami The Deity of Sri Radha-Raman was manifested from one of Gopala Bhatta Gosvami’s shalagram-shilas 15th day of the month of Vaishaka (April-May) in 1542. This event is celebrated every year (April-May) by bathing the Deity of Radha-Raman with over 300 liters of milk and other auspicious items.
