Tattva-viveka

Vrindaranya's cabin (almost) finished

Vrindaranya Dasi - February 24, 2006 4:01 pm

I've moved in to my new cabin, and I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who helped with building it. You're the best! Special thanks to Citta Hari and Guru-nistha, who saw it through from start to finish. I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful facility, and I plan to put it to good use in endeavoring to serve Sri Guru and the assembled Vaisnavas! Now that the cabin is done, I plan to spend more time on Tattva-viveka (as soon as the Ethernet is installed), so I look forward to much cyber-Sanga in the days to come. Thanks again!

Ys,

Vrindaranya

Great news, Vrindaranya!

It's so good to hear that you will be taking a more active role in Tattva-viveka! I look forward to getting to know you :D...

Last time when I was in Audarya (couple of weeks ago) the cabin was nearly complete. As a person who never build even a sand castle I was blown away by the craftsmanship, love and hard work everybody put into that building. It’s really first grade – high ceilings, skylights, kitchen, bathtub, I mean it’s just simply beautiful. It organically fits into surroundings, the palette, lanterns – all consistent with the rest of Audarya’s buildings. Citta Hari is the Man! He can build me a house anytime he wants! :D

Thank you. It's great to be back. I'm a little worried that it may sound like I was lounging on the couch while all the building was going on...rest assured, I was an active member of the cabin crew as well! :D

Photo attached to back up claim!

Here's a picture of the stove. It's not exactly spruced up for the photo, unfortunately.

Oh, it looks good to me! I became a big wood-stove fan when we lived at Bhaktivedanta Village. It was early December before we got stoves in our ashram, and even then they were installed because an old friend of mine was visiting, and he had the know-how and the time. (It was just in time, too. When we woke up the next morning, there was actually snow on the ground.) There are even a few nights here (when it's wet and all the way down into the 60s) when a wood stove would be nice. (Yeah, I know: I'm pathetic. My wife is even worse, though.) If I still had my job, we may even have gotten one for this winter.
