Govinda in 2006 Olympics in Torino

Nanda-tanuja Dasa - February 28, 2006 6:09 pm

The following clip shows Olympic skaters Anastasia Grebenkina and Vazgen Azroyan, who skated for Armenia to the tune of "govindam adi-purusham" from Radha Krsna Temple album. Very cool!

Wow! That was cool! Do you know if they are devotees?

Thank you for the link! That's was amazing to see at the olympics. And I thought the Finnish cross country skier Hannu Manenin was far out :D

Not sure, but here some information from their forum:

Thank you very much for kind words, we are glad that you liked our performance....

The theme for our free dance is indeed a remix of George Harrison's "Govindam Adi Purusham", which means "Worshipping Govinda". We found this remix on one of the old compilation CDs and had it professionally re-remixed and arranged. We will place an MP3 of this music after the season is over.

Watch our performance at the Olympic Games and World Championships!
