Awards for Form of Beauty

Vrindaranya Dasi - July 28, 2006 4:01 pm

Form of Beauty: the Art of B.G. Sharma, which was written by Guru Maharaja and designed by me, was a finalist for the prestigious Benjamin Franklin award this year. The Publishing Marketing Association says this about the Benjamin Franklin awards:

“Named in honor of America's most cherished publisher/printer, the Benjamin Franklin Awards™ recognizes excellence in independent publishing. Publications, grouped by genre are judged on editorial and design merit by top practitioners in each field.”

Form of Beauty was also the first place winner in the Western Regional Book Design and Production Awards.

Wow! Great news, Vrindaranya! Congratulations! With the amount of books published over there, this is no small thing.

Too bad though that probably most of the credit will go to Mandala instead of Audarya Press.

Form of Beauty was actually first published back before Audarya Press even existed and the concept for it came from Mandala, so there is no harm if Mandala gets credit.
