Tattva-viveka

serving in seperation and seeing the lord everywhere

Vivek - September 6, 2006 5:13 pm

In B.g Krsna says that one who sees me in everything and everything in me I am never lost to him and he is never lost to me. But on the other hand we see Mahaprabhu acting as if they can't see krsna anywhere at all. Is it just to illustrate the point that seeing krsna everywhere is not so easy and reaching that stage requires a lot of sadhana and service in seperation.

Krsna appears differently to different people, so when he was wrestling he is seen as universal form by wordly minded and supersoul by yogis. I just wanted to clarify what universal form were the wordly minded people seeing, the one which arjuna saw or they see krsna as a powerful personality. Similarly yogis do they not see krsna in his human like form at all, or do they see him same as the supersoul.

Sorry you all for too many postings so soon!! Especially have to beg forgiveness from maharaja for this.

In B.g Krsna says that one who sees me in everything and everything in me I am never lost to him and he is never lost to me. Mahaprabhu is acting as acarya-lila and in the mood of Srimati Radhika. Her love is devoid of pride, and as that love progresses it reaches the stage of complete selflessness as illustrated in the 8th verse of Siksastakam. Mahaprabhu is saying Krsna can grant his darsana or not, ignore him, whatever, but he is completely sold to Krnsa. His mood also displays the intensity of wanting to see Krsna always, meaning always. The gopis and Radha cursed Brahma for making eyelids that blink, or for the tears of ecstasy  that obstructed her vision of Krsna. And it also illustrates, yes like you said, that service in separation is part of service. The separation makes the meeting more enjoyable, and assists in the pleasure of the Lord. It is very high this stage, isn't it? A lot of sadhana, like you said.

Krsna appears differently to different people, so when he was wrestling he is seen as universal form by wordly minded and supersoul by yogis. I just wanted to clarify what universal form were the wordly minded people seeing, the one which arjuna saw or they see krsna as a powerful personality. I'm not so sure on this, but I think that Krsna shows different universal forms. He says to Arjuna that this universal form was never seen before this showing. He also showed a universal form to Duryodhana in the court of Dhritarastra before the war began.

As far as yogis, Krsna shows which ever form they meditate on. "I reward them recordingly." Krsna is very kind and reciprocates in which ever way the soul desires.

It's nice that you posted. It keeps us thinking about sastra which is for our benefit.
